Locate the main page displaying the total mileage, then press the first button three times. Navigate past page A and page B to reach the DIO page, hold down the third button for three seconds to complete the reset operation, and the light will turn off.
I've been riding the Kymco CT250 for over three years and have reset the maintenance light several times. It's actually quite straightforward. First, completely turn off the motorcycle with the key in the OFF position, ensuring no power is left. Then locate the reset button on the dashboard—usually a small button labeled RESET. If it's not clearly marked, check the manual for its position; it's generally easy to find. Press and hold the button, then quickly turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine. Keep holding the button for 5 to 10 seconds until the maintenance light turns off or flashes a few times before going out. Only then should you release the button. After completing the reset, start the engine to verify the light is truly off. If it doesn’t work, it might be due to poor button contact or low battery voltage—try repeating the process a few times or charge the battery. Remember, this light serves as a reminder for regular maintenance, such as oil and filter changes. Ignoring it can lead to engine wear, so I always reset it after servicing to avoid constant reminders. Keeping up with scheduled maintenance ensures the bike’s longevity.
