How to reset the maintenance light on Chery Riich G3?

Insert the key and turn it to the first position, which is the ACC position. Press and hold the small button on the right side of the dashboard with your left hand. Then turn the key to the ON position, which is the position where the entire vehicle is powered on. Release the right button with your left hand, and then press both the left and right buttons together. Introduction to the maintenance light: When the vehicle reaches the mileage for maintenance, the maintenance light on the dashboard will illuminate to remind the driver to go to a maintenance facility for servicing and oil change. Different vehicle models may have different types of maintenance lights, but their functions are the same. Maintenance light reset: After the vehicle has been serviced, the maintenance light needs to be reset to turn it off. Most mid- to low-end vehicles have a physical reset button, and regardless of whether the vehicle has been serviced, you can directly press the reset button to reset and turn off the light. For high-end vehicles, the operation needs to be performed through the central control screen, and you can refer to the user manual for details.
I often perform this maintenance light reset operation on my Chery Riich G3, and it's quite simple. First, get in the car and insert the key into the ignition, turning it to the second position - the state where the engine isn't started but all dashboard indicator lights are on. Then look at the dashboard, find an ODO button or odometer button, and press and hold it for about 5 to 10 seconds. At this point, the maintenance light will blink a few times and then turn off, and you're done. Why is it designed this way? Mainly to remind us not to forget regular maintenance. After completing an oil change or minor repairs, manually reset the light to ensure the next reminder is accurate. Sometimes if the light turns off and then comes back on, there might be an issue with the sensor, and you should take it to the shop for inspection. Remember, never perform this operation while driving - safety comes first. Regular maintenance really saves worry and money; my car has been well maintained for many years.
