I also drive a BJ40, and resetting the maintenance light isn’t difficult. First, don’t rush to start the engine—park the car in a safe spot and look for the “OK” button or a checkmark-shaped confirmation button on the steering wheel controls. While the engine is off, hold down this button without releasing it, and with your other hand, turn the key to the ignition-on position (dashboard lights up but don’t start the engine). At this point, a menu might pop up on the screen. Keep holding the OK button with your left hand, and use your right hand to scroll through the menu using the up/down buttons near the steering wheel. Find the “Maintenance” or “SERVICE” option, select it, and choose reset. If you have an older model without these buttons, try holding down the small round button on the right side of the instrument cluster—the steps are similar. If you still can’t manage it, you’ll likely need an OBD tool, which won’t cost much at a local repair shop. Before attempting any DIY steps, it’s best to check the manual in the glove box, as the procedure may vary slightly depending on the model year.

Last time I reset the maintenance light on my BJ40 after servicing, here's my practical experience. First, completely turn off the engine until the dashboard goes completely dark. Press and hold the confirmation button on the right side of the steering wheel with your finger, keeping it pressed without moving. At the same time, use your other hand to turn the key to the ACC position (or press the start button twice for keyless ignition). Wait for about six or seven seconds until the dashboard displays an English interface. Continue holding the confirmation button while using your thumb to scroll the wheel button under the steering wheel to navigate to the vehicle settings menu. Select the maintenance reset option, and the screen prompt will disappear once successful. Be careful not to press the volume buttons on the steering wheel by mistake, as button positions may vary across different models. There's no need to press the brake pedal during the entire process, and the vehicle doesn't need to be started. If the dashboard doesn't respond, check if the buttons are stuck. If it still doesn’t work, you can always visit the 4S shop to have the system reset—technicians can easily do it for you after servicing anyway.

Resetting the BJ40 maintenance light is straightforward: After turning off the engine, hold down the confirmation button on the right side of the steering wheel without releasing, turn the key to the ON position (do not start the engine), and once the instrument menu pops up, enter the maintenance settings to reset. For some models, you may need to locate a physical button on the instrument panel, typically found below the tachometer. The entire process takes about ten seconds. Remember to perform the operation on level ground to prevent the vehicle from rolling, and ensure the parking brake is engaged. If the operation fails, it might be due to incorrect button pressing or the vehicle entering sleep mode; in such cases, power off the vehicle for a few minutes and try again. If unsure about the model year, you can look up tutorials online using the VIN. For the most reliable method, keep an OBD scanner handy—plugging it in will allow you to reset the light directly.

Do You Need to Press the Clutch and Brake When Starting a Manual Transmission Car?

When starting a manual transmission car, you need to press the clutch and brake. First, ensure the parking brake is engaged and check that the gear lever is in the neutral position. Press the clutch pedal all the way down with your left foot and turn the ignition to start the engine. Each starting attempt should not exceed 5 seconds. Once the engine stabilizes at idle speed, you can begin driving. The clutch is located within the flywheel housing between the engine and the transmission. The clutch assembly is secured to the rear plane of the flywheel with screws, and the output shaft of the clutch is the input shaft of the transmission. While driving, the driver can press or release the clutch pedal as needed to temporarily disconnect or gradually engage the engine with the transmission, thereby cutting off or transmitting power from the engine to the transmission.

Where to Check the Mileage on the New Audi A3?

New Audi A3's mileage can be viewed on the odometer, which is located on the dashboard of the Audi A3. Introduction to the Odometer: The Audi A3 odometer is divided into total mileage and trip mileage. The trip mileage can be used to record the driving distance from point A to point B, assist in calculating fuel consumption, and determine new maintenance intervals. The total mileage records the cumulative driving distance of the vehicle from the factory to the present. How the Odometer Calculates: The diameter of the car's wheels is known, and the circumference of the wheels remains constant. This allows for the calculation of how many rotations the wheels make per mile traveled. Therefore, by automatically accumulating the number of wheel rotations and dividing by the number of rotations per mile, the driving mileage can be obtained.

Is the displacement of the Mercedes-Benz C200L 2.0T?

The Mercedes-Benz C200L has a 2.0T displacement, and approximately 4.5 liters of engine oil is sufficient for the 2.0T Mercedes-Benz C200L. Meaning of displacement: Displacement, a specialized term in hydraulic transmission, refers to the volume of fluid inhaled or discharged per stroke or cycle. The displacement of a car is an important parameter to measure a vehicle. Some domestic cars do not have the car model marked as above, but their displacement is generally indicated on the body or rear of the car. Economy of corresponding displacement: The engine's displacement determines the car's fuel consumption. The larger the displacement, the higher the fuel consumption and the stronger the power, but small-displacement engines generally have poor adaptability.

What is the reason why the vehicle cannot be locked when the transmission is in gear N?

N gear represents neutral and cannot lock the car. The gear should be adjusted promptly. The following is a detailed introduction to the transmission: 1. Composition: The transmission, also known as the gearbox, is used to change the speed and torque from the engine. The transmission consists of a transmission mechanism and a control mechanism. Some cars also have a power output mechanism. It can be divided into stepped, continuously variable, and integrated transmissions, with functions such as enabling reverse driving, interrupting power transmission, and changing the transmission ratio. 2. Main functions: (1) Change the transmission ratio to expand the range of changes in the torque and speed of the driving wheels to adapt to frequently changing driving conditions, while allowing the engine to operate under favorable conditions (higher power and lower fuel consumption). (2) Enable the car to drive in reverse while maintaining the same rotation direction of the engine. (3) Use neutral to interrupt power transmission, allowing the engine to start, shift gears, and facilitate gear shifting or power output in the transmission.
