Push the ignition switch to the "ON" position and ensure the vehicle is stationary. Then, use the steering wheel's toggle buttons to switch the instrument display to the maintenance settings. Finally, press and hold the "TRIP-RESET" button for about 5 seconds to reset it, and the maintenance light will disappear. Below is relevant information about the maintenance light: 1. Introduction: The maintenance light is a reminder function set by the manufacturer to prompt the owner to perform maintenance at certain mileage or time intervals. It appears in the form of a dashboard or screen message or indicator light to remind the owner of the required maintenance. 2. Types: There are three common types: a yellow oil can icon, a small yellow wrench icon, or a direct message in Chinese characters stating, "Please change the oil promptly."

As a long-time Teana owner, I know this well! Take my 2018 model for example: Don't start the engine, just power on (press the start button twice). Press and hold the top of the black stalk on the right side of the steering wheel (the round button used to switch dashboard information) for about 10 seconds. The dashboard will flash - immediately release your finger and quickly press the hazard warning light button 3 times. Don't step on the brake pedal during the whole process. When completed, the 'OIL' display on the dashboard will disappear. If you get the sequence wrong and enter engineering mode, don't panic - just power off and restart to try again. Remember the actions must be performed consecutively - moving too slowly will cause it to fail. This method works for mechanical instrument clusters in 2017-2021 models.

What are the symptoms of valves not closing tightly?

The symptoms of valves not closing tightly are as follows: 1. Difficulty in cold starting; 2. Unstable idle speed; 3. Body shaking and abnormal noises; 4. Weak acceleration; 5. Severe air leakage may cause the engine to fail to start. Additional information: 1. Whether the valves can close tightly directly affects the engine's starting performance and power output. During engine operation, the intake and exhaust valves are in a state of high temperature and high-speed movement. This rapid opening and closing cause the valves and valve seats to collide with each other, widening the contact surface and creating grooves. The high-temperature, high-pressure, and high-speed environment of the intake and exhaust valves makes the working surfaces prone to carbon deposits, burns, and pitting, leading to poor sealing between the valves and valve seats. 2. When the working surfaces of the valves and valve seats widen, the contact area increases. When the valves close, the unit area pressure on the valve seats decreases (the spring force of the valve springs remains unchanged), and this reduced unit area pressure also results in poor sealing between the valves and valve seats. Therefore, worn valves should be repaired or replaced promptly to avoid the aforementioned issues.

Is a tire pressure of 2.8 high in summer?

Summer tire pressure of 2.8 is very high. Generally, the lower limit of the standard tire pressure for car tires is sufficient. For example, the lower limit for standard tires is 2.4bar. If the car is often parked outdoors, the tire pressure can generally be about 0.1bar lower than the standard to avoid tire blowouts due to high temperatures. This is not normal. According to the provisions and requirements of the international GBT2978-2008 standard, the tire pressures for different tires are as follows: Standard tires: 2.4-2.5bar; Reinforced tires: 2.8-2.9bar; Maximum pressure: Should not exceed 3.5bar. Hazards of excessive tire pressure: The friction and adhesion of the tires will decrease, affecting braking performance; It can cause steering wheel vibration and deviation, reducing driving comfort; Accelerates localized wear of the tread pattern in the center of the tire, reducing tire lifespan; Increases body vibration, indirectly affecting the lifespan of other components; Causes excessive stretching and deformation of the tire cords, reducing the elasticity of the tire body and increasing the load on the car during driving; Decreases puncture resistance. When encountering sharp objects like nails or glass on the road, they can easily penetrate the tire, and the impact can cause internal cracks and explosions, leading to tire blowouts.

Is a residence permit still required to obtain a driver's license in Foshan?

In Foshan, non-locals do not need to apply for a residence permit to obtain a driver's license. Currently, a residence permit is not required to take the driver's license test anywhere. According to the "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driver's Licenses," there are two scenarios for taking the driver's license test in a different location: 1. Within the same province. Residents from different cities can apply directly with their ID cards and do not need to submit a residence permit or temporary residence registration certificate. 2. From another province. Residents working across provinces can apply for a small car driver's license anywhere in the province after obtaining a residence permit from any city within that province.

Is it necessary to install rain guards?

In general, it is not necessary to install rain guards. However, if the owner lives in a city with frequent rainy weather, installing rain guards can make driving more convenient. Rain guards are mainly installed on the left and right rearview mirrors and side windows of the car, serving functions such as maintaining clear rearview mirror visibility, shielding from rain, and blocking sunlight. Advantages of rain guards: 1. During rainy weather, when the window is slightly opened for ventilation, rain guards can prevent rainwater from entering the car interior; 2. To a certain extent, they can block direct sunlight from shining on the driver; 3. Installing rain guards on the left rearview mirror can prevent rainwater from blurring the mirror, allowing the driver to better judge the vehicles behind.

What does the steering wheel icon on the dashboard indicate?

The steering wheel icon on the dashboard indicates a malfunction in the vehicle's power steering system, which may result in reduced or complete loss of power steering assistance. Immediate repair is recommended. All vehicles are equipped with power steering systems, with three common types: Electric Power Steering (EPS), Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS), and Mechanical Hydraulic Power Steering (MHPS). The dashboard is a rigid panel or structural component designed to house instruments and related devices. It comes in various forms, including screen-type, frame-type, passage-type, and cabinet-type dashboards. Standard automotive gauges typically include the speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure gauge, coolant temperature gauge, fuel gauge, and charging indicator.

Can You Continue Driving If the Car Thermostat Is Broken?

You can continue driving if the car thermostat is broken, but it will have certain negative effects on the vehicle, so it is not recommended. The thermostat is a device that controls the coolant's circulation between the large and small loops. If the thermostat is damaged, it can easily cause the engine temperature to become too high or too low. When the engine's coolant temperature drops below the normal range, the lubrication effect deteriorates, leading to increased engine wear and affecting normal operation. If the thermostat fails while driving, the car's coolant temperature can only remain normal at low speeds. If the speed increases slightly, the coolant temperature will drop significantly, preventing the engine from reaching its optimal operating temperature, which results in excessive noise.
