How to reset the maintenance light on a 2020 Corolla?

Press and hold the "A" button, step on the brake pedal, and do not release either of them during the process. Do not start the engine, but the vehicle's power must be turned on. When the characters on the instrument panel flash or the entire display screen flashes, continue to hold the "A" button, and "..." will appear on the instrument panel. Release the reset button "A" and the brake pedal. The maintenance light reset operation is now complete. Turn off the vehicle's power.
When the maintenance light comes on, I always check the service records first to confirm the maintenance is done before resetting it. The 2020 Corolla makes it simple: turn off the engine, switch the key to the ON position without starting the engine, press the DISP button on the steering wheel a few times to enter the instrument menu, find the maintenance reset option, and hold the OK button for a few seconds. The whole process requires no tools and takes just minutes. Resetting ensures the next reminder is accurate, avoiding delays in actual maintenance. It's recommended to reset regularly along with routine checks like tire wear or brake pads, as keeping the car in good condition saves on major repairs and ensures safer driving.
