How to Reset the LCD Odometer on a Motorcycle?
1 Answers
If the odometer is an older mechanical type, there is a small protruding button on the dashboard. Press and hold this button for a while to reset the odometer to zero. Remove the dashboard, take off the pointers for speed, fuel gauge, water temperature, and RPM, then use a flathead screwdriver to adjust the mileage gear, which can roll back or reset the odometer. If the odometer is a modern electronic type, the total mileage cannot be completely cleared during adjustment. However, you can long-press the 'trip' button at the top of the wiper control lever to reset the trip mileage. The mileage data is stored in an encrypted format in the dashboard's chip. The simplest way to reset it is to replace the dashboard with a new one.
