How to reset and clear the maintenance light on a Citroen C5?

Press the first button below the front display (TRIP), and the mileage will be immediately reset to zero. First, navigate the trip computer to the interface that needs to be reset, then press the button at the top of the wiper for more than 5 seconds, and the mileage will be immediately reset to zero. Hold down the button below the front display without releasing, turn to the ON position, a countdown will appear, and once it ends, the maintenance mileage will be automatically reset to zero.
I just figured out how to reset the maintenance light on my Citroën C5, and it's actually quite simple. First, turn off the engine and the ignition switch, then locate the small button on the dashboard—usually the one for resetting the odometer—and hold it down. Next, turn the key to the ACC position (where the engine isn't started but the electronics are powered), and continue holding the button for about 10 seconds until the maintenance light goes off, indicating the reset is complete. This method works for most C5 models, such as the newer ones from 2010 onwards. However, older models or higher trim versions might have the button in a slightly different location—older versions might have it on the left side of the dashboard, so make sure you press the right one. If it doesn’t work on the first try, repeat the process or check the user manual. After resetting, note down the current mileage to plan your next service. Regularly resetting the light ensures accurate reminders, helping you avoid missing maintenance and extending your car’s engine life.
