How to Replace the Wiper Motor on a Xiali?

Open the engine compartment cover to see a plastic tube used for transmitting the wiper washer fluid, pull it out. After removing the wiper, you need to dismantle the rear part of the engine compartment cover. Remove the wiper motor; finally, replace it with a new one.
I've replaced the wiper motor on my Charade several times myself. First, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery—don't skip this step, or you risk a short circuit. Then, remove the wiper arms by loosening the bolts with a wrench, being careful not to damage the windshield seal. Next, detach the wiper linkage, which is usually secured with nuts; if they're rusty, spray some WD-40. After removing the old motor, align and install the new one, ensuring the connector isn't reversed. Before testing, manually rotate it a few times to check for smooth movement. I recommend cleaning dirt from the linkage afterward, as buildup can shorten its lifespan. Regular lubrication also extends the new motor's service life. The whole process takes about half an hour, but beginners should consult the car's repair manual or watch video tutorials first. Never cut corners on safety—disconnecting the battery is crucial. Basic tools like wrenches and screwdrivers are all you need—nothing fancy.
