How to Replace the Wiper Blades on a Tiguan?

First, turn on the ignition and activate the wipers. When the wipers reach the middle of the windshield, turn off the power, then exit the vehicle. Fully lift the wiper arms. To avoid damaging the windshield during removal, place a cloth on the windshield where the wipers are being worked on. Adjust the angle of the wiper blades, preferably to a 90-degree angle with the wiper arms. Once properly angled, begin the removal process by lifting the rubber blade with one hand. With one hand, pull the rubber blade sideways while pressing down firmly on the bracket with the other hand to separate the wiper blade from the arm. Then remove the blade.
Replacing the wiper blades on a Tiguan is quite simple. I just changed them on my old Tiguan recently. First, prepare new wiper blades - the Tiguan typically uses 26-inch and 16-inch sizes, so make sure you get the correct model. Park the car, turn off the engine, and open the hood. Gently lift the wiper arm away from the windshield with your hand, remembering to place a rag or towel underneath to prevent the arm from suddenly snapping back and damaging the glass or injuring your hand. There's a small release button at the end of the Tiguan's wiper blade - press it to easily remove the old one. When installing the new wiper, align it with the arm slot and push until you hear a click, ensuring it's securely locked. Finally, gently return it to its original position, spray some windshield washer fluid to test the wiping effect, and check for any vibrations or unclean areas. Normally, you should replace the wipers when they start squeaking or leaving water streaks. Doing it yourself takes about 20 minutes and saves you a hundred bucks at the repair shop. Additionally, I recommend cleaning the windshield of oil and grime beforehand to prevent premature wear on the new wipers - a vinegar-water solution works well for this. Maintaining clear visibility is always the top priority for safety.
