How to Replace the Wiper Blades on a Mercedes-Benz GLC260

Gently pull the wiper arm towards the front of the vehicle with slight force. When the wiper arm swings to a certain position, it will automatically lock in place. Press the wiper's release button while shaking and pulling the wiper blade upwards to remove the old rubber blade assembly. Release the two clips to remove the old rubber blade. When reinstalling the rubber blade, remember to stagger the two metal strips when placing the blade. After installing the new rubber blade, follow the reverse steps of the removal process to reinstall the wiper.
When replacing the wiper blades on my Mercedes-Benz GLC260, I found it surprisingly simple—the key is activating the wiper service mode first. Start by turning the ignition on and then off, then quickly tap the wiper stalk once. The wipers will stop midway on the windshield. Carefully lift the wiper arm (place a towel underneath to prevent it from snapping back onto the glass for extra safety). Next, press the small square button in the middle of the wiper blade, pinch it, and slide the old blade forward to remove it. Align the new wiper blade with the slot and push it firmly until you hear a click, indicating it's securely installed. Gently lower the wiper arm afterward—avoid letting it slam down. After installation, test by spraying washer fluid to check for even, noise-free wiping. DIY replacement saves significant money compared to dealership service, especially when done annually.
