How to Replace the Turn Signal on a Vios?

First, open the engine compartment hood and locate the three soft covers behind the headlight assembly. The two on the left and right are for the low beam and high beam lights. There is another cover below. Remove the cover and place it in a suitable position to prevent it from falling into the engine compartment. There is a turn signal socket with a handle. Unscrew and pull it out, then rotate the bulb to remove and replace it.
I've been driving a Vios for several years and have replaced the turn signal bulbs myself multiple times. Here's my experience. First, make sure the car is turned off and the hood is open, otherwise the bulb socket might be too hot to handle. Locate the small light assembly above the front wheels, and unscrew the cover to access the bulb. Gently pull it out without using excessive force to avoid damaging the socket interface. The Vios typically uses P21W bulbs, so double-check the packaging when purchasing. When inserting the new bulb, do it steadily and ensure it's firmly in place before screwing the cover back on. After replacement, start the car and test the turn signals by activating both left and right indicators to see if they light up. If not, reinsert the bulb or check the contact points. Last time I changed the bulb without gloves and touched the glass part, which caused the bulb to fail prematurely, so it's best to wear gloves when handling. A quick check of the lights before daily driving can save you a lot of trouble.
