Buick spark plug replacement method is as follows: 1. Clean the dust and oil stains near the high-voltage wire terminal; 2. Use a socket wrench to loosen the fixing screw of the high-voltage wire terminal; 3. Unscrew the high-voltage wire terminal and use a socket wrench to loosen the spark plug; 4. Insert the soft tube on the high-voltage wire terminal into the combustion chamber; 5. Pull out the spark plug and replace it with a new one. Buick models include: LaCrosse, Regal, Envision, Excelle GT, HR-V, etc. Taking the Buick LaCrosse as an example, its body structure is a 4-door, 5-seater sedan with body dimensions of: length 5026mm, width 1866mm, height 1459mm, wheelbase of 2905mm, and a fuel tank capacity of 55 liters.
I just replaced the spark plugs on my old Buick Regal last month. You'll need a 16mm spark plug socket, torque wrench, and new spark plugs. First, turn off the engine and wait until it cools completely. When unplugging the ignition coil connector, pinch the clip and gently wiggle it out. Use a magnetic pickup tool when removing the coil screws - if they fall into the engine bay, you're in trouble. Remove old spark plugs by turning counterclockwise slowly; if the ceramic cracks and fragments fall in, you might need to disassemble the engine. Apply copper-based anti-seize lubricant to the threads of new spark plugs before installation, and crucially, use the torque wrench to tighten them to the manufacturer-specified 20 N·m - overtightening can strip the cylinder head threads. Don't start the engine immediately after installation - reconnect all connectors first before test starting. Last time I didn't plug the coil connector in firmly, the engine shook like a tractor, and it only resolved after reconnecting properly.
