How to Replace the Seat Belt on a Buick Excelle?

Locate the wiring under the car seat, find the sensor wire of the seat belt buckle, and remove it. Take off the seat cushion and remove the airbag. Find the seat cushion sensor inside the seat cushion and remove it. Install the new seat belt buckle onto the seat. Thread the bolt through the hole and insert it. Install the weight sensor onto the car seat. Attach the new retractor and tighten it with a wrench. Insert the seat belt completely and check if it locks properly. Reinstall the seat cushion onto the car seat and arrange the wiring at the bottom of the seat. Test the newly installed seat belt by pulling the strap to see if it retracts properly.
I previously replaced the seatbelt on my Buick Excelle by myself, and it was quite straightforward. Just grab a 10mm socket wrench, crawl under the driver's seat to locate the seatbelt mounting bolt. Remove the plastic trim panel next to the seat to expose the bolt, then slowly unscrew it. After removing the old seatbelt, align the new one into position and tighten the bolt. Once installed, pull it out to test if the retraction is smooth, and don’t forget to buckle it to check the locking function. The whole process takes about half an hour, and the only tool needed is a wrench. Beginners should look up a video tutorial for their specific model to avoid mistakes. Excelle parts are cheap and easy to buy online—doing it yourself saves over a hundred yuan in labor costs, and getting familiar with the car’s structure makes future maintenance on other parts easier.
