Method for replacing the cabin air filter in a Buick Excelle: 1. Open the glove compartment on the passenger side and locate the black clips, then pry them open with moderate force; 2. Remove the gray clips (one on each side), which requires a bit more force to detach, and push the glove compartment inward firmly; 3. Once the clips on the glove compartment are removed, you can pull the glove compartment outward; 4. After removing the glove compartment, you will see the cabin air filter housed in the black slot; 5. Pull out the old cabin air filter and replace it with a new one. The Buick Excelle is a model under SAIC-GM Buick, with body dimensions of 4419mm in length, 1814mm in width, and 1487mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2685mm. In terms of exterior design, the Excelle features the brand's signature winged chrome grille, giving the front fascia a sharper and more rugged appearance; the combination of black piano vertical grille and high-gloss chrome winged grille naturally draws the visual focus of the front end to the emblem.

Last time my own Buick Excelle's cabin air filter was broken, and there was a musty smell inside the car, so I tried to replace it myself. The filter is located behind the glove box on the passenger side—first open the glove box, press hard on the clips on both sides to let it hang down, and you'll see a small plastic cover. Unclip the cover, pull out the old filter. When installing the new filter, pay attention to the airflow direction marked by the arrow, align it with the air inlet. The whole process takes about 5 minutes, and you basically only need your hands as tools. The key is not to install it in the wrong direction, otherwise the airflow will decrease and the filtration effect will be poor; it's recommended to replace it every six months or 10,000 kilometers, especially in humid southern areas where mold can affect health and you can save money.

I've been driving a Buick Excelle for three years and have replaced the cabin air filter several times. I'm very familiar with the steps: locate the glove compartment on the passenger side, press the clips to remove it, and the filter housing will be exposed. Take out the old filter, make sure the new one matches the model number, and insert it with the arrow pointing toward the driver's seat. Reattach the glove compartment and secure it. No special tools are needed—the whole process takes about ten minutes. Remember to replace it regularly, especially during pollen season in spring. A dirty filter not only causes odors but also blocks airflow, slowing down cooling. Doing it yourself saves you a hundred or two in repair costs—totally worth it.

As a female car owner, I find changing the air filter for the Excelle quite simple—it's located under the glove compartment on the passenger side. Just press the clips on both sides to open the glove box, and the filter housing is clearly visible. After removing the old filter, make sure not to install the new one upside down by checking the arrow indicator. Doing it myself saves me from waiting in line at the dealership, and all it takes is spending a few dozen yuan on the part. The improvement in air quality is noticeable, especially helpful for those with allergies. Every time I change the filter, the air inside the car feels fresh and breathable—it's a habit worth keeping.
