How to Replace the Battery in an Old Magotan Remote?

First, press the button on the top of the key to pull out the spare mechanical key; then, push the metal cap on the top of the key from the side with force to remove it. Separate the shell, take out the old battery, and install the new one.
Replacing the battery in the old Magotan remote isn't difficult. First, locate the small groove on the side of the key, then gently pry it open using a coin or small screwdriver to remove the back cover. Inside, you'll find a flat battery with the model number CR2032, which can be purchased at supermarkets or auto repair shops. Be careful not to damage the contacts when removing the old battery. Insert the new battery with the printed side facing up, and you'll hear a click when it's properly installed. After reassembling the cover, test the remote to see if it locks/unlocks the doors properly. If it doesn't work, the cover might not be secured tightly or the battery could be inserted backward. I've changed mine three times, each time taking just five minutes. However, I recommend replacing the battery every two years or so to avoid being inconvenienced by a sudden power loss.
