Here is the method to replace the battery in a Toyota key: 1. There is a round button on the side of the car key. Press this button with one hand while pulling out the mechanical key with the other hand. 2. Locate the gap in the middle of the top of the key and insert a flat-head screwdriver into it. Pry the key up and down until a gap is created. If the key doesn't move, gradually increase the force until it does. 3. Remove the key's circuit board and gently push one side of the battery to remove it.
