How to Replace the Battery in a Lynk & Co 05 Key Fob?

First, open the back cover of the key fob. There is a notch at the top that can be gently pried open using a fingernail or a small screwdriver. Inside the key fob, there is another layer with "CR2032+" written on the surface. Use a small screwdriver to gently pry it open. After opening, replace the old battery with a new CR2032 battery, then securely close the cover.
When I replaced the Lynk & Co 05 key battery myself, I found it quite simple. There's a small gap on the side or back of the key—just use a small screwdriver or credit card to gently pry open the back cover. Inside, you'll find a CR2032 coin battery. Remove the old one and check the model number to confirm. When inserting the new battery, make sure the positive side faces up (the side with the engraved text should be visible). Then, snap the cover back on and press until you hear a click to secure it. Test the remote immediately after replacement by trying both the lock and unlock functions to ensure it works. The whole process takes less than five minutes—much cheaper and more efficient than going to a dealership. I recommend choosing a high-quality brand-name battery as a spare and replacing it when the remote starts acting sluggish, rather than waiting for it to die completely. Keeping a small toolkit handy makes the job easier, saving you dozens of yuan while also teaching a practical skill.
