How to Replace the Battery in a Hyundai Elantra Smart Key?
1 Answers
When the battery level of the Hyundai Elantra smart key is extremely low, sitting in the car and pressing the start button manually will result in the dashboard displaying 'No Smart Key Detected,' and the car will fail to start. At this point, the battery should be replaced promptly. Steps to replace the battery are as follows: 1. Locate a silver round button at the top of the key fob's front side and press it; 2. Pull out the mechanical key from the fob; 3. Insert the mechanical key back halfway and turn it clockwise to separate the key fob's cover; 4. Once a gap appears, use your hands to pry open the key fob cover, splitting it into two halves; 5. Continue using a small knife or screwdriver to gently pry open the circuit board along one side; 6. After opening the circuit board, remove the old battery and install the new CR2032 battery; 7. Finally, reassemble the circuit board and snap the key fob cover back into place.
