First, remove the mechanical key from the smart key. The smart key is the L-shaped key. Carefully observe the top of the smart key, which has deep and shallow grooves. Use this L-shaped key to pierce the shallow groove of the smart key all the way down. You will notice that the back cover of the smart key will automatically pop open. Remove the old battery, replace it with a new one, then reattach the back cover and the mechanical key. The battery in this car key typically lasts 2-3 years. If it runs out of power, replace it promptly.
