Before disassembling the remote key, first remove the internal mechanical key. Then use a pry tool or pry bar to gently pry along the seam of the key casing. Once the casing is fully pried open, you can separate the shell. At this point, you will see the chip and battery inside the remote key. The Borgward BX7 uses a CR2032 battery. Remove the old battery from the Borgward BX7 and replace it with a new one of the same specification. Finally, reinsert the mechanical key and close the remote key cover to complete the battery replacement.
