How to Replace the Antifreeze in Tiguan?

Tiguan antifreeze replacement method: 1. Open the car hood after the engine has cooled down; 2. Unscrew the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator to empty the antifreeze; 3. Keep the vehicle idling while continuously adding clean water to the antifreeze reservoir; 4. After the water stops dripping, tighten the drain valve and turn off the engine; 5. Pour new antifreeze into the reservoir; 6. Start the engine to expel air from the cooling system pipes, the antifreeze level will drop; 7. Once the level stabilizes, top up the antifreeze between the MIN and MAX marks to complete the replacement.
I've changed the coolant myself several times, and it's quite easy. It's recommended to prepare the tools in advance: a clean bucket, new coolant (Volkswagen Tiguan recommends using G12 EVO or G13 type), gloves, and a wrench. First, wait until the car has completely cooled down, then open the hood and locate the drain plug under the radiator. Use the wrench to loosen it and let the old fluid flow into the bucket. After draining, tighten the plug, open the filler port, and pour in the new coolant up to the MAX mark. Start the engine for a few minutes to allow the cooling system to circulate and vent air. The fluid level may drop, so just top it up to the standard level. After completion, check for leaks to ensure everything is okay. This should be done every two years or 50,000 kilometers to extend the engine's life, save money, and have peace of mind. By the way, don't mix different brands of coolant, as it will become ineffective.
