How to Replace the Air Filter of Wuling Sunshine?

To replace the air filter, first open the glove box cover. Locate the fixing buckle on the right side of the glove box and pull it outward with force. Remove the fixing buckle of the glove box cover to detach it. Squeeze both sides of the glove box towards the center with both hands, and the glove box can then be taken off. After removing the glove box, you will see the air filter cover. Press the fixing buckles on both sides of the cover with force, and the cover can be removed. Pull the old air filter outward. Install the new air filter and restore it to its original position in the reverse order of disassembly (pay attention to the installation direction of the air filter).
I used to drive a Wuling Zhiguang, and changing the air filter in that car wasn’t difficult. It’s located behind the glove box—you just need to open the glove box and pull it all the way down to see the clips. Gently pinch them to release. Inside, there’s a plastic cover; remove the two screws with a screwdriver, and you’ll see the old filter. Pull it out directly and replace it with a new one—just buy the OEM model CA-xxx. Make sure not to install it backward; the arrow should point toward the front of the car. The whole process takes about ten minutes, saving you a trip to the repair shop while picking up a new skill. Why change it? A clogged filter affects airflow and the air quality inside the car, especially when the AC is on—dust buildup can easily trigger sneezing. I recommend replacing it once a year, and online filters cost only around 20 yuan. When reassembling, don’t overtighten the screws, as the plastic parts can crack easily.
