How to Replace Car Coolant?
1 Answers
Steps for replacing coolant: 1. First, ensure the engine is in a cold state; otherwise, the coolant may splash out during filling. 2. Then, open the engine hood and locate the coolant reservoir of the engine. 3. Unscrew the reservoir cap counterclockwise and open the drain valve (to release the coolant). It's also necessary to rinse the interior. 4. Next, refill the reservoir with the same specification of coolant until the liquid level reaches the maximum mark (MAX). 5. Finally, after filling the coolant, securely close the reservoir cap. Note: Be careful not to spill the coolant during the filling process. If it comes into contact with the exhaust pipe, it may produce unpleasant odors or even cause smoking or fire. Therefore, if it contacts the exhaust pipe, wipe it off immediately with a wet cloth.
