How to Replace a Fuel Filter?

Steps to replace a fuel filter: 1. Due to the pressure in the fuel system, to avoid fuel spray or fire accidents when removing the fuel filter, release the pressure in the fuel system before disconnecting the fuel lines; 2. After locating the fuel filter, remove it from the mounting bracket, place an oil catch cup under the fuel line, and use pliers to remove the original disposable hose clamps on both sides; 3. Disconnect the fuel line from the inlet of the fuel filter, at which point fuel inside the line will spill out—direct the fuel into the cup; 4. Once the flow decreases, install a new hose clamp and quickly connect the inlet of the new fuel filter, temporarily blocking the other end. When installing the fuel filter, distinguish between the inlet and outlet, and also block the inlet of the old fuel filter; 5. Disconnect the other end of the old fuel filter, connect it to the new fuel filter, and use pliers to tighten the hose clamp to prevent leaks; 6. Reinstall the replaced fuel filter back into its original position.
