How to Repair Scratches on Paint Protection Film?

If the scratch is not deep and very slight, you just need to leave it under the sun for a few hours on a sunny day, and it will repair itself. You can use a heat gun or hair dryer to apply heat. This treatment is aimed at the coating, utilizing thermal expansion and contraction to allow the coating to fill in the scratched area.
I was also quite annoyed when my car wrap got scratched last time, which was the result of accidentally brushing against tree branches while parking. Simply put, if the scratch is relatively shallow, you can try using a hairdryer on a hot setting to gently blow warm air over it, heating the film to let it restore its smoothness on its own. But be gentle and don’t blow for too long to avoid overheating and damaging the film. If you don’t have tools, pouring some warm water over the scratch can also help, but don’t use too much water. Deep scratches are more troublesome—I tried fixing one myself once but only made it worse, so I ended up getting it professionally repaired. Usually, I recommend not parking too close to the roadside to reduce damage from branches and debris. Regularly cleaning your car wrap can also help minimize scratches. Safety comes first—if it affects your driving visibility, that’s not good.
