Need to stop driving, then open the engine hood to allow the engine to cool down. First, check if there is any issue with the catalytic converter and replace it if necessary. Check the thermostat. If it fails to open, it will obstruct the flow of coolant inside the engine. Replace the component if needed. Inspect the cooling fan in the engine cooling system. If it is not functioning properly, it will result in poor heat dissipation of the coolant. Replace it accordingly. Examine the water pump in the cooling system. If the pump does not rotate smoothly, it will lead to poor coolant circulation and excessively high coolant temperature. Replace it promptly.
