How to Repair a Dented Car Tailgate?

Align the hole in the center of the pull bridge with the fixed pad. Thread the nut onto the screw rod of the pad and tighten it, then continue turning the nut until the dent is pulled out and leveled. After the repair is completed, remove the tools, spray alcohol on the residual adhesive on the car body, and finally clean it thoroughly with a scraper.
When I first started driving, I also encountered a dent in the rear tailgate. Actually, for small dents, you can try fixing it yourself: first clean around the dent, then buy a car suction cup repair kit online, wet it, stick it on, and pull hard outward. Remember to keep spraying water for lubrication and avoid yanking it forcefully. If there are stubborn creases near the edges, don’t mess with it—take it to a repair shop and let them use professional tools to pop it out. Also, remember to check if the trunk latch can open and close properly. Once, after fixing the dent, I found out the latch was deformed and wouldn’t close. Lastly, a reminder: after sheet metal repair, you must repaint it, otherwise the exposed metal will rust within half a month.
