How to Remove Windshield Scratches?
1 Answers
Removing windshield scratches involves the following steps: 1. Clean the glass with a clean cloth to ensure there are no debris or impurities, keeping the glass in a dry environment; 2. Soak a microfiber cloth under warm running water, wring it out until it no longer drips; 3. Depending on the size of the scratch, apply an appropriate amount of toothpaste to the cloth; 4. Place the cloth with toothpaste on the scratched area and move it in small circular motions for 30 seconds; 5. Inspect the scratched area until the scratches are no longer visible. Windshield scratches can be categorized as repairable and non-repairable. Minor and fine scratches can be fixed through grinding and polishing; however, larger and longer scratches are not recommended for repair due to limited effectiveness and potential wear, which may cause visual distortion and affect driving. In such cases, it is advisable to replace the windshield directly.
