First, disconnect the battery of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class; then turn the steering wheel of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class approximately 90 degrees. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to insert from front to back into the hole behind the steering wheel, placing the head of the screwdriver between the retaining spring and the airbag hook. Turn the steering wheel of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class 180 degrees, continue to pry open the retaining spring, remove the airbag, unclip the yellow safety latch behind the airbag, and then unplug the airbag connector to remove the airbag. Unplug the connector of the airbag coupling coil located above the inside of the steering wheel, and use an M12 spline to loosen the central fixing bolt of the steering wheel counterclockwise. Finally, carefully remove the steering wheel of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
