Pry open the two small covers under the steering wheel, remove the left turn signal cover and the right wiper cover. Use a flathead screwdriver to release the clips underneath, then use a Torx screwdriver to remove the two screws, and the airbag can be taken off. Content Extension: 1. After the vehicle is turned off, the steering wheel will automatically lock, which is a simple anti-theft feature. This situation does not occur every time you start the car; generally, the steering wheel will automatically unlock after starting the vehicle with the key. 2. When driving at speeds between 80 km/h and 90 km/h, the steering wheel may shake, but it returns to normal when the speed exceeds 90 km/h. This issue is mostly caused by tire deformation or problems with the vehicle's drivetrain. It is necessary to check whether the front wheel alignment angles and toe-in meet the requirements and adjust them if they are off. Lift the front axle and test the rotation of the wheels to check the static balance and whether the tires are excessively deformed. Replace them if deformation is found.

Last time my old BMW 320i had steering wheel noise, I researched the disassembly method. You need to prepare a T-type Torx wrench and interior trim pry bar, first disconnect the battery negative terminal and wait 30 minutes for the airbag to deactivate. There are two small holes under the steering wheel - use a thin screwdriver to release the airbag clips and remove the airbag module, being extremely careful when unplugging the yellow connector. Then use a 19mm socket to remove the center bolt, and make alignment marks between the steering wheel and shaft for proper reassembly. The most dangerous part is accidentally touching the airbag wiring, and after reassembly you'll need an OBD scanner to clear fault codes. Honestly I don't recommend DIY disassembly - the clock spring and steering angle sensor are very precise components, and improper handling can cause serious matching issues later.

As an aftermarket technician, removing a BMW steering wheel must follow standardized procedures. The first step is always to disconnect the battery - the airbag system is no joke. There are two spring clip holes on the sides of the steering wheel; use specialized hook tools to release the airbag clips. After removing the screws, lift the steering wheel straight up to avoid damaging the clock spring wiring harness. Special reminder for 320i owners: pay attention to the heating function wiring. For post-2017 models, the steering wheel also integrates driving assist button wiring. During reassembly, any steering wheel angle deviation exceeding 5 degrees will trigger a steering angle sensor error, requiring calibration with the ISTA system.

Does Transmission Fluid Need to Be Changed at a 4S Shop?

Transmission fluid does not necessarily need to be changed at a 4S shop. The steps for changing transmission fluid are: 1. Remove the drain plug at the bottom of the transmission to drain the old fluid; 2. Remove the inner and outer shells of the transmission; 3. Remove the transmission fluid filter; 4. Take off the oil pan gasket and clean surrounding stains; 5. Wipe the cleaned transmission fluid filter with cotton thread; 6. Add new fluid and complete the installation. The reasons for changing transmission fluid are: 1. The transmission requires gear oil for lubrication, cooling, cleaning, and corrosion prevention; 2. To reduce gear wear; 3. To maintain cleanliness of the shifting system; 4. To prolong the lifespan of the transmission components; 5. To prevent the transmission fluid viscosity from thinning and the lubrication performance from declining.

Why is the Volkswagen Magotan's air conditioning not cooling?

The reasons why the Volkswagen Magotan's air conditioning is not cooling are: 1. Lack of refrigerant, leading to insufficient refrigerant in the air conditioning system pipeline and reduced pressure; 2. Long-term lack of maintenance, resulting in clogged air filters and condensers; 3. Malfunction of the air conditioning compressor; 4. Loose drive belt of the air conditioning compressor, causing a decrease in compressor speed; 5. Poor remote control or faulty air conditioning receiver; 6. Malfunction of the four-way valve or high and low pressure gas mixing in the compressor, rendering the air conditioning ineffective. Taking the Volkswagen Magotan 2020 model as an example, it is a 4-door, 5-seater sedan with body dimensions of: length 4865mm, width 1832mm, height 1471mm, wheelbase of 2871mm, and a fuel tank capacity of 66 liters. Is It Normal for the Manufacturing Date of a New Car to Differ from the Glass Production Date?

It is normal for the manufacturing date of a new car to differ from the glass production date. The reasons are: car glass is produced in assembly lines, and different batches of glass have different production dates. Places to check the manufacturing date of a new car include: 1. Vehicle identification number (VIN); 2. Vehicle nameplate; 3. User manual and related certificates; 4. Trademark on the windshield; 5. Below the B-pillar on the passenger side. Methods to check the glass production date are: 1. Look for the code at the bottom left or right corner of the window glass; 2. The number represents the year, and the dots represent the month. Dots before the number indicate the first half of the year, and the month can be calculated by subtracting the number of dots from 7. Dots after the number indicate the second half of the year, and the month can be calculated by subtracting the number of dots from 13.
