How to Remove the Rear Seats of an Old Jetta?

Old Jetta rear seat removal steps are as follows: 1. First prepare a wrench and a flat-head screwdriver. 2. Lift the rear seat cushion outward and upward at the joint between the seat and backrest: Note there is a groove on each side at the front of the cushion. 3. Start removing the backrest: There are 3 fixing screws at the bottom of the backrest, remove them with the wrench. 4. Remove the six pillar slots: Facing the backrest, insert the flat-head screwdriver between the pillar and foam towards your direction, push in about an inch deep where there is a clip, press inward, then use the other hand to pull up the pillar to remove it.
