How to Remove the Rear Seat of Lavida?

To remove the seat cushion, generally place your hands under the bottom of the seat cushion and lift it upwards, then flip the lifted seat cushion forward. Push the connecting shafts at both ends towards the middle to release the metal shafts from the clips, and the seat cushion can then be removed. To fold down the seat back, lift the switches on both sides of the backrest, then use your hands to pull it forward.
I remember fumbling around the first time I took apart the Lavida's rear seats. Actually, the cushion part is quite simple—just grip both sides of the front edge firmly and lift upwards with force. You'll hear two clicks, and the base clips will release. To remove the backrest, first recline the seat. There are plastic covers at the joint between the backrest and the car body. Pry them open with a small pry tool to reveal two T50 Torx screws. Having an extension bar wrench on hand makes the job much easier—that’s how I did it when replacing the seat covers myself. After finishing, remember to pull the seatbelt buckle out from the gap to avoid crushing it. To reinstall, just align the clips and press down firmly, but be gentle—VW's clips are prone to cracking, so don’t use too much force.
