Removing the rear seat backrest of the Besturn B50 is something I do frequently. Start from the middle of the rear row—reach underneath the backrest base to locate two metal clips, then lift firmly upwards to release the first one. Next, use a socket wrench to remove the fixing nuts on both sides at the top of the backrest (usually around 12mm). When loosening them, remember to use a magnetic tool to prevent the nuts from falling into the car. There’s also a hidden clip near the door side of the seat—carefully pry open the decorative cover with a flathead screwdriver to access it. The whole process takes about half an hour, with the key being to work from bottom to top and apply even force without jerking. Finally, after removal, check the mounting points for debris, and when reinstalling, ensure each clip clicks audibly into place.
