Removing the passenger side glove box of the Baojun 730 is very simple. During the removal process, you need to apply force to both sides of the glove box and then pull it outward directly to detach it. The Baojun 730 is a family MPV product under SAIC-GM-Wuling Baojun, with body dimensions of 4780mm in length, 1820mm in width, and 1755mm in height. The Baojun 730 is an MPV model equipped with two engines: one is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine, and the other is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. The front suspension of the Baojun 730 is a MacPherson independent suspension, and the rear suspension is a multi-link independent suspension.
I previously disassembled the glove compartment of my Baojun 730 by myself, and it felt quite straightforward. The first step is to open the glove compartment lid to expose the interior space. Usually, there are plastic clips securing it at the bottom or on both sides. You can start by gently pressing the clip area to see if there’s any looseness. If so, carefully pry it open with your fingers or a flat-head screwdriver—avoid using excessive force to prevent damaging the plastic parts. Remember to turn off the vehicle and use a flashlight for illumination to avoid scratching the interior. If the clips are too tight, you might need to start from the inner edge to locate all the fastening points—typically, there are three or four clips or small screws holding it in place. Once removed, you can clean out the dust inside or replace the divider. During my last cleanup, I found quite a bit of debris. After completing the task, simply align the clips and gently push it back into place to secure it. The whole process took me about 10 minutes, and afterward, the car’s interior felt much tidier. It also helps prevent air conditioning odors caused by clogged filters.
