How to Remove the Original Car Floor Mat Clips?

The design of the original car clips is relatively simple, just by making a hole in the floor mat and then inserting the clip into it. When removing the clip, simply pull hard on the floor next to the clip to successfully remove it.
I used to wonder how to remove this too, but later found it's actually quite simple. First, locate the position - the fasteners on floor mats are usually small plastic clips fixed directly to the vehicle's floor. There are two common types: one has a protruding center button that requires pressing firmly while lifting upwards, and another needs to be rotated counterclockwise about 45 degrees to release. If it's particularly stuck, try gently prying the edges with a key or small screwdriver, but never use brute force. Remember to keep the clips after removal in case they're needed later. Some Japanese cars use metal hooks for fixation - those require unhooking the loop before removing the base. Be careful not to scratch the car's carpet during the process, and wearing gloves makes the operation safer.
