How to Remove the Oil Change Reminder on a Civic?

The method to eliminate the oil change reminder on a Civic is as follows: 1. First, set the Civic's power to ON mode, then repeatedly press the (Display/Info) button until "Maintenance" appears on the screen; 2. Press the Enter button, and the engine oil monitor will appear on the screen; 3. Finally, hold the Enter button for about 10 seconds, and the Civic oil wrench reminder will be cleared; 4. If the reminder still persists after the oil has been changed, a manual reset is required. With the engine off, hold the reset button without releasing it, then power on the vehicle.
After I changed the oil for my Civic myself last time, that little wrench icon on the dashboard kept lighting up, and my OCD kicked in—I had to get rid of it. I found out it requires a button combination: first, press the start button twice without stepping on the brake to light up the dashboard, then hold down the TRIP button on the steering wheel (the one that looks like a dashboard) for about ten seconds until the oil reset option pops up on the screen. Use the directional buttons to select 'Confirm Reset,' then press the TRIP button again to confirm. The button design on my car is pretty hidden—it took me a while to find it the first time. Button locations might vary for different Civic model years; for the 10th-gen Civic, it's in the left control area of the steering wheel, while older models might have it near the center console. After resetting, it's best to start the car and check if the icon disappears.
