How to Remove the License Plate Light?

The method to remove the license plate light is to pull apart the plastic clips on both sides of the light cover. Alternatively, you can use a flathead screwdriver to pry open the clips. According to relevant regulations, all vehicles must turn on the license plate light at the rear when driving at night. The brightness of the rear license plate light must be sufficient for a person with normal vision to clearly read the license plate number from a distance of 20 meters at night. It is required that the license plate light must be controlled by the same switch as the parking lights. For example, LED bulbs are usually slightly taller than the original bulbs, and the side of the light cover with the 3C certification mark should face downward. The license plate light is turned on together with the width indicator lights during nighttime or low-light conditions to illuminate the license plate.
I've changed the license plate light myself a few times, here's my experience: Open the trunk to locate the light position, usually on the inner side of the trunk lid. Gently pry open the light cover from the edge using a flathead screwdriver or plastic pry tool - don't use brute force or you'll break the clips. After opening, you'll see the bulb connected to wires. Pinch the bulb holder and turn it counterclockwise 90 degrees to remove the bulb. When installing a new bulb, avoid touching the glass surface with your hands as oil residue can shorten its lifespan. To reinstall, align the bulb with the slot and turn clockwise until it locks in place, then snap the cover back on with a click. Remember to keep the power off during the entire process. The whole replacement takes about ten minutes.
