After removing the small black cover, you will find the screw that secures the window outer trim. Use a T-20 spline tool to remove this screw. Take out a large flat-head screwdriver and gently pry the edge of the window outer trim to loosen it slightly, being careful not to scratch the door's paint. Use your fingers to hold the window outer trim and gently lift it upwards. Gradually, the window outer trim will separate from the edge of the door.

I replaced the window trim on my Fit last month by myself. At that time, an old mechanic taught me: First, you have to remove the door panel. There are two screws hidden near the door handle—just unscrew them with a Phillips screwdriver. Then, carefully peel off the waterproof membrane—it’s stuck on pretty tight. Here’s the key point—the trim clips are extremely fragile, so you need to pry them slowly along the window frame from back to front. I used a credit card wrapped in thin plastic as a tool and stopped when I heard a click. When installing the new trim, first align the groove into position, then press it firmly from the center outward with your palm. Never use a hammer! Finally, remember to reseal the waterproof membrane with clear tape, or else rainwater will pool inside the door panel. The whole job took me over forty minutes, mostly because I had to be careful not to break the clips.

Can You Still Drive When the National VI Driver Warning Light Comes On?

When the National VI driver warning light comes on, you cannot continue driving. You must identify the specific issue before restarting the vehicle. Brake System Warning Light: If the warning light remains on after releasing the handbrake, it indicates a fault with the vehicle's brake pads. In this case, the car should not be driven, and you should pull over to the nearest safe spot to await assistance. Tire Pressure Warning Light: This light illuminates when there is an abnormality in tire pressure, such as insufficient air pressure or tire damage. You should stop immediately for inspection to prevent traffic accidents. Engine Oil Pressure Warning Light: This light turns on when the engine oil level is insufficient to meet operational requirements. Continuing to drive may cause internal component failure, so you must stop driving immediately.

Where to Apply for the Inspection Exemption Label for Vehicles?

The electronic version of the motor vehicle inspection exemption label can be obtained through the Traffic Management 12123 app. Click on 'Apply for Inspection Exemption Label for Vehicles', submit the relevant vehicle information, and the electronic exemption label will be generated. Implementation Time of the Exemption Label: On June 20, 2020, the paper inspection labels for motor vehicles were abolished nationwide, and all paper inspection labels were replaced with electronic inspection labels. The electronic inspection label serves the same purpose as the paper label, so now there is no need to affix any paper labels inside or outside the vehicle. Usage Method: After successful application, you can download the electronic label to your phone in advance when needed, or print it out directly and affix it to the car window or place it in a readily accessible location inside the car. Of course, you can also directly present it offline through the Traffic Management 12123 mobile app.

Will not driving a car frequently have any impact on the car?

Leaving a car unused for a long time can cause the following damages: Oil seal aging: If a car is left unused for an extended period, the oil seal around the contact points will experience uneven pressure distribution. The direction with greater pressure will cause more deformation in the oil seal. The longer the car remains idle, the harder it is for the deformation to recover, eventually leading to permanent deformation of the oil seal, which can easily result in oil leaks. Battery premature failure: The car battery charges while the vehicle is in motion. If the car is left unused for a month, the battery may be damaged and could lose all its charge within that time. For older vehicles, the battery might die within 2-3 weeks. More seriously, prolonged self-discharge of the battery can lead to the formation of sulfides on the electrode plates, affecting the battery's ability to recharge and ultimately causing it to fail prematurely. Tire deformation: When a car is parked, the weight is borne by the parts of the four tires in contact with the ground, causing these contact areas to compress and deform. The longer the car remains stationary, the harder it is for the deformed areas to recover. This changes the weight distribution around the tires, resulting in uneven rolling radii and unbalanced tires. Once the car is driven at high speeds, this can cause body vibrations, accelerate tire wear, and even pose safety risks.

Can You Drive on the Highway with a Tire Pressure of 200?

Tire pressure of 200 is not suitable for highway driving. The standard tire pressure ranges from 2.4 to 2.5 bar; reinforced tires require 2.8 to 2.9 bar; the maximum pressure should not exceed 3.5 bar. Hazards of Low Tire Pressure: Increased friction coefficient with the road surface, leading to higher fuel consumption; causes the steering wheel to feel heavy and prone to deviation, among other factors detrimental to driving safety; increases movement in various parts of the tire, resulting in abnormal heat due to excessive rolling; reduces the functionality of the cords and rubber, leading to delamination or cord breakage, and excessive friction with the rim causing damage to the tire bead area and abnormal wear. Hazards of High Tire Pressure: Reduces tire friction and adhesion, affecting braking performance; causes steering wheel vibration and deviation, reducing driving comfort; accelerates wear on the central tread pattern of the tire, shortening its lifespan; increases vehicle vibration, indirectly affecting the lifespan of other components.

What Types of Car Insurance Should You Buy?

Car insurance mainly includes two types: compulsory traffic insurance and commercial insurance. Compulsory traffic insurance is mandatory by the state, while commercial insurance is optional for car owners. Commercial insurance includes liability insurance, third-party insurance, water damage insurance, and theft insurance. Introduction to Compulsory Traffic Insurance: The full name of compulsory traffic insurance is 'Compulsory Traffic Accident Liability Insurance for Motor Vehicles.' It is a mandatory liability insurance where the insurance company compensates for personal injuries, deaths, or property losses (excluding the vehicle's occupants and the insured) caused by road traffic accidents involving the insured vehicle, within the liability limits. Necessity of Compulsory Traffic Insurance: Compulsory traffic insurance ensures that victims of motor vehicle road traffic accidents receive compensation and promotes road traffic safety. It provides timely and basic protection for victims of traffic accidents.
