How to Remove the Glove Box of a Buick Regal?

First, open the glove box on the passenger side. There is a screw in each of these four positions, remove them using a 7MM socket. After removing the four screws, gently lift upwards to detach the glove box. You will see a rectangular box in the middle, which is the cover for the cabin air filter. Push both sides outward and press the middle part to open it, then remove the cabin air filter.
Removing the glove box on a Buick Regal is actually quite simple. I've done it myself at home several times. First, open the glove box door and look at the bottom area inside – there are usually one or two cross-head screws securing it. Just unscrew them with a regular screwdriver, being gentle to avoid stripping the threads. Then slowly pull out the glove box assembly. You might feel some damping resistance, which is normal due to the buffer mechanism. Gently wiggle it out rather than yanking forcefully to avoid damaging the plastic clips or wiring. Oh, and if your glove box has a small interior light, you'll notice a wiring harness connected at the back – simply press the clip to disconnect it. Once removed, the entire glove box unit comes off, allowing you to clean interior dust or replace the cabin air filter. The whole process takes just minutes, but remember to turn off the ignition to prevent accidental activation of vehicle systems. When reinstalling, connecting the wiring first before tightening the screws makes reassembly smoother.
