How to Remove the Glove Box?

Unscrew the central control button of the decorative edge below the ashtray by hand, and use a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the decorative panel at the far right end of the dashboard. Remove the two screws at the bottom of the CD player and the two burgundy screws at the far right end of the dashboard in the final step, then remove the burgundy decorative panel. Remove the decorative frame at the upper right end of the box and the three screws securing the decorative panel (other than the glove box) below the glove box, then remove the decorative panel. Remove the three screws securing the glove box at the top and the two screws at the bottom, then remove the glove box.
Removing the glove box is actually quite simple, and I often do it myself. First, open the glove box to its maximum position. There are usually small plastic clips or screws securing it at the bottom or on both sides. Gently press the inner side of the clips until you hear a click, or use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws. Then, slowly pull it outward, being careful not to use too much force to avoid breaking the connection points or scratching the interior. Some models have a damper connected, so you’ll need to disconnect the small connector first. After removing it, take the opportunity to clean the inside, wiping away dust from areas where it accumulates, which helps the air filter function properly. The whole process takes no more than ten minutes and is great for beginners to try, but remember to wear gloves to avoid cuts. When reinstalling, align the sliding grooves first, and you’ll know it’s secure when you hear the clips snap into place.
