Tiguan fuel tank cap lock removal method is as follows: 1. Soak the plastic shell part of the fuel tank cap in hot water for a while, then use a flat-head screwdriver to pry open along the joint between the plastic shell and the metal part; 2. After prying open the plastic shell, pull out the lock cylinder and plastic lock cylinder slot from the metal shell. At this point, the lock cylinder and the lock cylinder slot are still together and not separated; 3. Insert the key into the lock cylinder. There is a wire clip at the bottom of the lock cylinder slot. After pulling out the clip, the lock cylinder can be removed. If the key is not inserted, the lock cylinder will fall apart when removed, making reassembly more troublesome. During installation, follow the reverse order of the removal steps.
