First, prepare the necessary tools for removing the fuel pump, then position the vehicle on a level indoor surface with the ignition switch in the OFF position; engage the parking brake. Use tools to slowly remove the rear inspection hole cover (gently pry it up without using excessive force, as there are wiring harnesses underneath). Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, and remember to wrap the disconnected fuel pipe with plastic wrap to prevent dirt from entering. Also, note the original installation position. Clean the upper part and edges of the fuel pump assembly (there may be a lot of dirt, which can be wiped clean with a cloth). Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, remove the No. 1 fuel suction pipe bracket, then carefully take out the fuel pump from below. Press the lower locking clip by hand to remove the O-ring of the fuel pump.
