How to Remove the Fog Lights on a Cruze?

Use a flat-head screwdriver to first pry from the backside of the fog light grille, releasing the clips inside. Then use the flat-head screwdriver to pry open the clips securing it to the front bumper, and remove the fog light grille. Use a T-25 torx bit to remove the two screws. Gently pull upward, and the fog light can then be removed.
I've taken apart the Cruze fog lights several times, and it feels pretty straightforward, but you have to be careful. First, turn off the engine and all power sources, then use a wrench to disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent short circuits and sparks. Next, crawl under the front of the car—the fog lights are hidden inside the lamp housing at the bottom of the front bumper. Most Cruze models require removing part of the plastic shield on the front bumper. Use a Phillips screwdriver or socket wrench to unscrew the mounting screws, or gently pry open the clips with a plastic pry tool. Don’t yank too hard to avoid damaging the housing. When disconnecting the wiring harness, just press the lock tab and pull it out. After removing the fog light, you can clean or replace the bulb. Remember to reverse the steps when reinstalling—connect the wiring first, then tighten the screws. Last time I took them apart, I checked for wire aging and noticed the waterproof seal had a small gap, so I replaced it with a new one. For regular maintenance, disassemble them once a year to prevent dust buildup from affecting brightness.
