How to Remove the Focus Headrest?

At the back of the seat, there are two clips. Press the protruding clips, and the headrest can move up and down but cannot be removed. Use a sharp object to press the flush clips, such as a screwdriver or the tip of a key. Press both clips simultaneously, and the headrest can be completely removed. When pressing the clips with both hands, it is impossible to remove the headrest at the same time, so another person's assistance is needed to take off the headrest. The clips are small and difficult for one person to operate simultaneously. You can go to a nearby repair shop and have the maintenance staff handle it.
I've also researched the Focus headrest removal before, and the steps are actually quite simple. First, adjust the seat to its maximum recline angle for easier operation. Then locate the square plastic buttons at the base of the metal rods on both sides of the headrest - press them firmly with your thumbs and hold. With your other hand, pull the headrest straight upward using vertical force (don't pull at an angle). Remember to apply steady force as the spring clips are quite stiff. If you lack strength, adjust your stance and use upper body strength to assist. Having tried this on both old and new Focus models, I found post-2015 second-generation models easier - the front seats have push buttons while rear seats require a tool to release the clip holes. Keep all small parts safe after removal, and ensure you hear a click when reinstalling. This skill proves useful for seat cover replacement or during long-distance breaks.
