How to Remove the Exterior Door Trim Bright Strip on a Car?

First, open the car door and locate a screw near the lock on the inside of the door. Remove this screw, as it secures the bottom bright strip on the exterior of the door. Lower the window completely, stand outside the car facing the door, and gently lift the right side of the bottom bright strip upwards. Avoid using excessive force. The height to lift should allow your hand to fully grip the bright strip. Hold the far right end of the strip and pull it horizontally toward the rear of the car. There is a plastic triangular connector linking the upper and bottom bright strips. Lifting the bottom strip too high may break this connector. After removing the bottom bright strip, proceed with caution.
