Disassemble the high-pressure pump, unscrew the bolts, remove the cylinder head cover, and detach the camshaft adjustment cover plate; use a tool to loosen the fastening bolts of the camshaft adjuster. Press the chain tensioner together and secure it with a positioning pin, then unscrew the fastening bolts of the camshaft adjuster and remove it along with the chain.
To remove the EA888 engine's oil pressure regulating valve, I can share my experience. First, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent short circuits. Locate the valve, usually on the front left side of the engine compartment near the oil filter. Use a 10mm wrench to loosen the mounting screws, but don't apply too much force to avoid damaging the threads. Before unplugging the electrical connector, note the connection method to avoid incorrect reinstallation. Some oil may leak during removal, so prepare an old towel or tray to catch it and keep the area clean. When installing the new valve, check that the O-ring is intact, apply some fresh oil for lubrication, and then tighten it. The entire process takes about 15 minutes, but I must warn you that improper operation can lead to unstable oil pressure and engine damage, so I don't recommend beginners attempt this without consulting the manual or seeking assistance.
