How to Remove the Driver's Side Door Panel of a Mazda6?

At the interior handle location, use a small flat-head screwdriver to pry open the small cover, then use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screw. Hold the left side of the decorative cover with your hand and pull it to the left to remove the decorative cover at the interior handle. Use a large flat-head screwdriver to pry open the clips along the gap between the door trim panel and the door panel. There are a total of 8 clips, pry them open one by one.
I've removed the driver's side door panel of a Mazda6 multiple times. First, prepare the tools: a plastic pry bar and a T30 Torx screwdriver. Locating the screws correctly is crucial—one is hidden under a small cover in the door handle recess, which can be pried open with the screwdriver to reveal the screw. The other is behind the cover in the door pull handle; carefully pry it open to access the screw. Then, use the plastic pry bar to gently start prying from the bottom corner of the door panel, working your way along the edges to release the plastic clips. Maintain steady pressure while prying; a clicking sound indicates the clip has released. Once all clips are undone, lift the door panel upward to detach the top hooks from the window frame. Finally, disconnect the wiring harness plugs for the window switch and mirror adjustment—remember to press the clip rather than yanking the wires. The entire door panel can then be removed. When reinstalling, ensure the clips are aligned before pressing them back into place to avoid annoying rattles.
