How to Remove the Door of a Focus?

Ford Focus door removal steps are as follows: 1. Open the door, locate the interior door handle, remove the small cover inside the interior door handle, and unscrew the T25 screw inside the cover. 2. Locate the window regulator switch, use a screwdriver to gently pry out the window regulator switch from the rear, then disconnect the switch connector. 3. After removing the window regulator switch, there are two screws inside; use a T25 screwdriver to remove them. 4. There are a total of 3 screws. After removing them, insert the screwdriver between the door panel and the door, and gently pry outward to release the clips of the door panel. 5. Once all clips are released, pull the door panel outward, disconnect the interior handle cable, and the door panel removal is complete.
I've also done the job of removing a Focus door panel. You need to start with the interior trim panel. First, unscrew the window control panel screws, then use a plastic pry tool to gently release the clips of the trim panel. Remember to disconnect the wiring harness plugs for the power windows and door locks—don't yank them. Next, remove the mirror triangle cover, and the entire door panel can come off. Only after removing it did I realize there was quite a bit of soundproofing foam inside. The key point is to be extra careful with the door panel clips—they break easily, so it's best to have a few spare clips ready. Also, handle the door lock cable and exterior handle cable with care; if they break, you'll need replacements. If you're doing it yourself, wearing gloves is a good idea—the edges of the door panel can be quite sharp.
As an owner of an older Ford Focus, I just disassembled the left front door last week. Before starting, you'll need to prepare a T20 Torx screwdriver and plastic pry tools. First, pry off the window switch panel and unplug the connector, then remove the two screws inside the door handle frame. Start prying from the bottom of the door panel - the satisfying clicks from the clips are quite therapeutic. The key is to lift the door panel upwards to release it; pulling directly outward can easily break the clips. During disassembly, I noticed water leakage marks along the edges of the vapor barrier, so I applied a ring of butyl sealant while I was at it. Honestly, the most troublesome part is realigning all the clips during reassembly - I recommend taking photos to document the wiring harness routing. This kind of job requires patience; rushing it won't do any good.
