How to Remove the Clutch Pedal of a Haval H2?
2 Answers
Locate the connection point between the clutch master cylinder and the pedal, where there is a cotter pin. Use needle-nose pliers to grip the cotter pin and pull it out. Pull the clutch master cylinder to the left to disconnect it from the pedal, then remove the clutch pedal. If the clutch makes abnormal noises, it indicates dry friction. Simply apply some grease to the spring and the friction points. Ensure smooth vehicle starting, smooth gear shifting in the transmission system, and prevent overloading of the transmission system.
Removing the clutch pedal requires careful attention. I've worked on repairing the pedal of a Haval H2 before. First, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery—safety first! Crawl under the driver's seat and use a hex key to remove the screws securing the pedal. Be cautious as the spring return mechanism might pop off; it's best to wrap it with a towel and remove it slowly. Gently pry open the wire harness clip behind the steering column with a pry bar—don't yank it forcefully. After removal, you'll notice the pedal axle tends to rust; clean it thoroughly and apply some lithium-based grease before reassembly for smoother operation. Avoid touching the brake fluid line during the entire process. After reassembly, reconnect the battery and test the clutch travel to ensure it's functioning properly.
