How to remove the blower of Citroen C5?

The blower is located inside the dashboard, below the steering wheel on the side of the accelerator pedal, so you need to lift the dashboard to remove the blower. There are many fixing screws inside, and you can only remove them one by one. After removing the screws, lift the dashboard slightly, then twist the blower and rotate it out.
When removing the Citroën C5 blower, I usually prepare gloves and a screwdriver kit first, ensuring safety comes first. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid the risk of electric shock. Next, open the glove box and you'll see plastic clips on both sides. Gently pry them open with a screwdriver to remove the entire glove box—don’t use too much force to avoid deforming the plastic. Then, look inside, and the blower is right there. Unplug the electrical connector, being careful not to pull the wires. Locate the blower’s mounting screws, usually two or three, unscrew them, and the blower can be taken out. The whole process takes about 15 minutes. After finishing, you can also clean the dust off the fan blades. When reinstalling, make sure the connector is securely fastened, and you’re done. Remember, regular maintenance can extend the blower’s lifespan.
